Overview

Dr. Wenlong Zhang is the Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech Shenzhen Institute, Tianjin University, and the Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech. He received his B.S. in Chemistry, M.S. and PhD in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology during 2008-2019. He joined GTSI after worked one year as a visiting assistant professor of chemistry at Oglethorpe University (2020) and eight months as a post-doc back at Georgia Tech (2021). His research focused on coal combustion by-products treatment through solidification/stabilization, resource recovery from wastewater/solid wastes, and urban agriculture. He is on the review editorial board of the journal "Frontiers in Environmental Engineering" and youth editor of the journals of "Chinese Chemical Letters" and "Environmental functional materials".
